Answer: You say you "can't
stand sex, feel nothing, enjoy nothing, have had years of
disappointment, a marriage that is falling apart" and then
ask me to tell you that "its not psychological?" What else
could it be? You've done the right thing by first seeing
your physician, but I wonder if you've been completely honest
with your doctor. If you truly "enjoy nothing" (called anhedonia),
that is one of the criteria for depression. Other areas
include: difficulty falling or staying asleep, any unusual
weight gain or weight loss, mood fluctuations, problems
with concentration, and thoughts of suicide or wishing you
were dead. "Forcing" yourself to have sex is not the answer.
You need some professional help and I strongly urge you
to contact a qualified therapist who can thoroughly evaluate
and treat your situation. He or she may suggest you see
a psychiatrist for medication. A quickie fix is not the
answer for you---by your own admission you've already tried
that. See a licensed professional. I wish you well.
