Dr. Sandra Scantling is a nationally recognized psychologist, sex therapist, author, and intimacy expert whose work has been featured in national television, radio, and print media.
Throughout her career, she has been widely quoted as an expert on intimacy, sexuality, and relationships in publications including The New York Times, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Women’s Health, Redbook, and Woman’s Day.
Dr. Sandy wrote the “Intimacy, Sex, and Relationship” column for the Hartford Courant for four years and has authored numerous articles for The Connecticut Psychologist.
Her television and radio appearances include The TODAY Show, Good Morning America, The View, The Early Show, the BBC, Fox61 Morning News (WTIC-TV), Sound Off Connecticut on WTIC AM 1080, and Morning Extra, among others.

Dr. Sandy is the recipient of the Connecticut Psychological Association’s award for “Distinguished Contribution to the Science of Psychology” and was honored as “Sexuality Educator of the Year.”
Dr. Sandy has been the intimacy expert and columnist for the Hartford Courant and wrote a twice monthly Sunday column titled: “Intimacy, Sex, and Relationship”.
